University of Granada, Spain: Why Granada?

Where else in the world can you hike in the Sierra Nevada mountains in the morning, take a dip in the Mediterranean sea in the afternoon and enjoy “tapas” by the light of the Alhambra in the same evening? The city of Granada has an ideal location - 45 minutes from the Sierra Nevada Mountains and 60 minutes from the beaches of the Costa del Sol.

Granada itself is a fusion of past and present mixing the history, art and traditions of every culture that has inhabited this city and has made it so unique. Perhaps a direct legacy of three cultures living here in harmony, the Christians, the Moors and the Jews, have formed the openness of the Andalusian personality.

Immersion into Spain is the best way to learn to speak the language and to understand the culture. Students will not only learn grammar and vocabulary in class, they will also be able to communicate in Spanish with native speakers. Living in homestays allows students to live like a Spaniard, not just a tourist. The cultural activities are designed to show our students the things they have studied in class and participate and enjoy activities that are “typically Spanish.”

Granada Summer Advantage combines ideal location with complete immersion, creating the perfect environment for learning and excitement!
